  • TRANSFORMING CATHOLIC EDUCATION


    The Drexel Schools is the Diocese of San Jose’s initiative to transform Catholic education in response to the need to reverse the decline and recommit to student academic success and to harness technology to improve student learning. Drexel School initiative invokes an "old school" model of education perfected by the early religious orders that ran schools in a naturally collaborative manner.

    In those early years, the nuns worked in every aspect of local schools serving as teachers, principals, the school nurse, lunch coordinator, librarian, athletic coaches and more.
